The event was organised by the farming organisations AGPM (Francie), ASAJA (Španělsko), Confagricultura (Itálie), DBV(Německo), MTK (Finsko) NFU (Spojené království), and the Public Research and Regulation Initiative (PRRI)
As the host of the event, MEP Hannu Takkula, vysvětleny na otvoru, the event aims to promote fact finding and open discussion about the conditions under which new breeding techniques such as genome editing can deliver crops that can help farmers in the challenges of agricultural production.
Akce se zúčastnilo více než 60 účastníci, včetně poslanců, farmáři, vědci, as well as representatives of EU institutions, Členské státy, různá sdružení, a podniky soukromého sektoru.
Moderátor celé akce byl Max Schulman, zemědělec, MTK člen a předseda pracovní skupiny Copa-Coga na obilovinách.
