In the in the first half of 2020, the European Commission adopted two related strategies: the Farm to Fork Strategy and the 2030 Biodiversity Strategy which aim to make EU food systems more sustainable while protecting and restoring Europe’s biodiversity.

The two strategies are now debated by the Member States, the European Parliament and stakeholders.

On 3 July 2020, the Farmers Scientists Network hosted the webinar “Farming, Science and the EU Farm to Fork and Biodiversity strategies”.

The webinar was attended by over 50 participants including farmers and farmers organisations, scientists, national and EU level organisations, and the private sector.
